ABSTRACTS
Final submission deadline: July 15, 2025
All participants who intend to contribute oral and/or poster presentations are kindly requested to prepare one-page abstract in English, which will be published in conference materials (non-reviewed special edition of the Journal „Engineering of Biomaterials”). You may submit a maximum of two abstracts (one for oral and one for poster or two for poster presentations). Abstract submission is only possible during registration via our online system (we will not accept abstracts sent by email after registration). Only abstracts from individuals who have paid the registration fee will be published. Abstracts must be prepared using the following template, in MS Word DOC format, not PDF. The file name should contain presenting author first and last names, but without special characters, as in the examples:

How to get a discount on conference fee? Publish your paper with the ‘Engineering of Biomaterials’ journal!
If you’re considering going to the , 34th Annual Conference on Biomaterials in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine there’s a special offer just for you. If you publish your next paper in the official journal of the Polish Society for Biomaterials, called ‘Engineering of Biomaterials’, you can get a discount of 1000 PLN on your conference fee! Here’s how it works:
By April 15, 2025, submit your paper to the Engineering of Biomaterials journal. Make sure to check the guidelines on the website, use the correct template, and submit it through the official system at https://www.editorialsystem.com/biomaterials.
By July 31, 2025, your paper needs to be accepted for publication after passing the peer-review process.
By August 31, 2025, send an email to the conference organizers to ask for your discount (rytro@agh.edu.pl). Keep in mind that the final conference fee you pay, after the discount, will depend on the type of room you choose and when you register.
The discount will be given to the corresponding author of the paper or any co-author who has been designated by the corresponding author.

You can find more information about the Engineering of Biomaterials journal, including author guidelines and submission system, at www.biomaterials.pl. Please note that full papers are obligatory for the participants of the Best Poster Competition. Instructions for authors are available here. Please submit your full paper via the online system.
COMPETITION
Best Poster Competition
Once again, under the auspices of the Young Scientists Forum, we organize the Best Poster and Rapid Fire Competition. Participants of the Competition are required to:
- register and send an abstract via our online system
- prepare a full paper and submit it for peer-review process to the Engineering of Biomaterials Journal (at least one paper per competition participant)
- prepare a 3-min Rapid Fire Presentation (maximum 4-5 slides, .ppt or .pptx) to be presented during the Conference

POSTER AND ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Oral presentations
- Oral presentations should be prepared in English, in .ppt or .pptx format. All regular speakers will have 15 minutes in total: 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion. Presenters are kindly requested not to exceed their time otherwise, their presentation will be interrupted by the Chair, whose responsibility is to keep sessions on schedule.
- Speakers should check the Conference programme for the scheduled session time and presentation order.
- Use of personal laptops to run the presentation will not be possible. Speakers must upload their presentations (.ppt or .pptx) in the conference room as soon as possible, but no later than a half day before the scheduled presentation.
- There will be a speaker podium with a microphone and a slide changer/laser pointer prepared. Presenters are kindly requested to speak Audience forward.
Poster presentations
- Suggested poster dimensions: 70×100 cm.
- Posters will be arranged numerically. Please check the List of Posters or the Conference programme for the assigned poster number.
- All posters will be exposed during the whole Conference. Poster presenters are strongly encouraged to be present at their posters during Poster Sessions.
